Snake the left arm around the opponent's leading leg from De La Riva guard to throw your opponent off balance into Omoplata.

Once obtaining normal De La Riva sweep position, secure both arms. This position will allow you to throw the opponent over your head and into mount position.

Start by controlling the leading leg by the pants or ankle. Then, locate the groin while pushing the hip over. Lastly, feed the opponent's hand between their own legs for the takedown.

This variation of the De La Riva guard is a response the the opponent trying to stand and free their hand. Be sure the leading leg is trapped as you secure the lapel grab.
